As always, enjoyed the read very much. We're in crunch time over here at stillalive studios for a GDC demo of Son of Nor, but there's still a blog post outstanding of part 5 of our history of how our game came to pass...

Until now it was just interesting to read how our game developed to what it is now, but there are no real internal lessons learned to be read from a team point of view. I hope I get the approval to write about some of the lesser pleasing things we had to go through as I always think this has the most learnings and can really help other people not making the same mistakes! We are no heroes, and we certainly made mistakes within our team, but writing about them is what's really brave and interesting. There's no fame in keeping things secret I think. That's why I like your blog posts. You write about this stuff! Kudos!

I have a tip for your Mac mouse problem. I'm on a Mac and I had this problem, too. It started with the introduction of Unity 3.5. Everything was fine before, and then problems started. The mouse jumped around like crazy. I also had this problem with your Indie Buskers releases (e.g. Rose and Time, The Sun is Deadly). But with the latest bugfixes of 3.5.2, 3.5.3, these problems are now gone. Just build a Mac version with 3.5.2 and the crazy jumping stops! Using a Laptop's trackpad worked fine, I only had the problem using external mice from Logitech (as they have an additional driver). So it might be worth checking out.

We haven't yet migrated SON to 3.5.4 (it was just released), but I guess now that Unity has got the problem nailed down it will be fine on Macs, too. 3.5.2 certainly got rid of the problem for SON.

Best,
Chris
